'Loose Women' Presenter visits St Albans!

Star of ITV’s Loose Women, Carol McGiffin visited Ryder Clinic at The Elms, 24 Hall Place Gardens in St Albans on 6 separate occasions during Autumn 2009.

The Presenter underwent the Cutera 3D® Skin Rejuvenation™ laser treatment, administered by GP Partner, Dr Palmyra de Banks (pictured).

Carol was treated with a combined set of 3 laser treatments from the Cutera Laser. The Limelight Facial and Photo Genesis laser handsets were used to combat visible problems right at the skin's surface including fine lines, enlarged pores, scarring, pigmentation and redness. The revolutionary new Titan laser completed the third stage of the process, heating the tissue deep within the dermis resulting in firmer, tighter skin. 3D skin Rejuvenation is a package treatment which requires up to 6 individual treatments from the Photo Genesis and 3 treatments from the Limelight Facial and Titan lasers.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA

Swine Influenzae A (N1H1)

Unlike other London-based clinics, accused of ‘cashing-in’ on the recent media frenzy associated with Swine Flu / Swine Influenzae A (N1H1), Ryder Clinic’s protocol will be to follow the Health Protection Agency Algorithms laid out for the WHO (World Health Organisation) Alert Phase 5 over Swine Flu. If, on assessment, the patient is deemed to be at risk, our GPs would follow correct protocol and contact the Department of Health directly with any subsequent treatment. Unless directed by the HPA, Ryder Clinic will NOT provide private prescriptions for Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate).

Our GPs advise patients to follow government advice, especially those who have been in contact with anyone with confirmed Swine Influenzae or have recently travelled to Mexico.
